Over the while I've been oil painting and I've bought brushes in the middle to the high priced range and really didn't find much difference between them. I have dozens and dozens of brushes and don't use to many to actually complete a painting.
So I always buy a middle priced brush and its always been good enough for me. One brush you will need for oil painting is a fan brush for smoothing or softening the edges of your painting.
